Shutter Speed Vocabulary

1.Shutter- shutter is a device a allows light to pass for a determined period of time
2.Shutter Speeds-The time for which a shutter is open at a given setting and fast speeds are mostly using to  sports or wildlife photo and a fast shutter speed much of the time. AND slow speeds are   mostly used and/or needed for landscape, architectural, night, still life or "special effect" photo.

3.Shutter Priority-The shutter-priority mode is to have a faster shutter speed to freeze the action of fast-moving subjects or to have a slower shutter speed to blur moving subjects in order to create a sense of motion.
4.Aperture- Aperture is referred to the lens diaphragm opening inside a photographic lens.
5.ISO/ASA- ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization and ASA is something American, and is unimportant.
6.Exposure Triangle- The Exposure Triangle is a catchy phrase meant to encompass the three factors which affect the exposure of a photograph of a scene with a given amount of light.
7."B" or Bulb- A shutter setting is indicates that the shutter will remain open for as long as the shutter release is pressed.
8.Cable Release- Allowing the photographer to open the shutter without touching or moving the camera.
9.Tripod- Tripod is capture more diverse shots or even include themselves in the photo.
10.Bracketing-
bracketing is the general technique of taking several shots of the same subject using different camera settings.

6 main kinds of bracketing:

  3. Depth of Field Bracketing
  4. Focus Bracketing
  5. White Balance Bracketing
  6. ISO Bracketing
